Folks with ADHD

Work with someone who knows the ins and outs

Neurodivergence in late-stage capitalism can be really challenging to traverse.  The stigma alone can be debilitating, let alone the stress of living up to standards of society.  As someone who has not only worked with people with ADHD, but who was diagnosed with ADHD late in life, I find that there is a balance we can strike between lessening the strain of symptoms and shaking free from the confines of the label altogether.

While we want to support executive functioning, we also want to look at self-esteem and self-worth since being given the diagnosis, which I think can be supportive for the client and contribute to overall better functioning.  ADHD does not have to define you!
